In short

Your meals live on your iPhone and in your private iCloud, so you can export or delete them yourself at any time. For the little we hold — analytics, diagnostics and emails — just email us.

1. Where your data is

  • On your iPhone and in your private iCloud: your meals, photos, notes, profile and settings. You control this data directly — we can’t see or delete it for you.
  • AI providers: meal photos and notes you submit for an estimate. We don’t keep them; the providers keep them only briefly for security and abuse prevention.
  • With us: analytics events (including the onboarding and profile answers you entered and the plan worked out from them) and session replays, linked to a random installation ID (Mixpanel), diagnostics, and any emails you send us.

2. Export your data

Your meals are already yours to copy: a CSV backup (caltrack_meals.csv) is kept in SnapMyMeal’s documents and can be copied to a Mac with Finder (your iPhone → Files → SnapMyMeal), and your meal photos are in your iCloud.

For the analytics and diagnostics we hold, email admin@jtcapps.com with the subject “SnapMyMeal data export request”.

3. Delete your data

  • One meal: swipe it left on Home, or open it and choose ⋯ → Delete Meal.
  • Everything on your iPhone: delete the SnapMyMeal app.
  • Your iCloud copy: iPhone Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Storage → SnapMyMeal → Delete Data.
  • Analytics, diagnostics and emails: email admin@jtcapps.com with the subject “SnapMyMeal data deletion request”.

Deleting your data doesn’t cancel a subscription — cancel it in iPhone Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions.

4. Withdraw consent

Stop AI analysis at any time by not submitting photos; nothing is sent unless you ask for an estimate. To stop analytics or have it deleted, email admin@jtcapps.com, and remove Apple Health access in iPhone Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → SnapMyMeal.

5. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, object to or restrict how it’s used, and complain to your local data protection authority. We reply within 30 days.

Because analytics use only a random installation ID, with no name or email, we may ask for a few details (such as your device model and roughly when you used SnapMyMeal) to find your data. We will never ask for your Apple Account password or payment details.

6. Contact

Email admin@jtcapps.com. More detail is in the Privacy Policy.
